Hope everything is better now, hun. Good to see you back *hugs*
I'm still here
Hello hello hello... sorry I haven't been around. Have had huge problems to deal with (and the new job).
Pegasus & Noidy The new job is grrreat!! No really it is. You know when you move on somewhere after a while you wonder whether you did the right thing (usually anyway) well not with this job. I've been there 6 months now and it's every bit as interesting and different as it was when I started and it's what I wanted to do. Okay, it's not nursing and I have to admit I do miss the patients but I also have to admit, I don't miss all the hassle, working unsociable shifts and weekends! Plus, I get the University holidays - okay not the same as most Uni's because we teach nursing and so our semesters run all year but I still get 35 days paid holiday and that's in addition to Bank Holidays and when the Uni is closed - I get paid for that too PLUS, plus... I get to work flexi-time and some of it I can even do from home. But you know what the best part is... I get to teach student nurses in the classroom and have a real influence upon how they should work and that gives me a big buzz!!
Jola: Hiya hon. I was looking at your new profile piccie and I can't believe how big Georgia is now!!! She looks like she's doing really well!
Sange: Hiya hon. How're your lot..? I hope they're okay
Well, I'll just enlighten you all to the other issues I mentioned above. Maybe the ladies who have had similar experiences might even be able to help... I've recently had a lump scare - well am still in the middle of it. I found a lump in my right boob and have had a series of tests. I go to the clinic tomorrow lunchtime to find out the results. I'm assuming it's a blocked gland because I don't have any other symptoms. So difficult times but as I said, hopefully by tomorrow it'll all be sorted and ((hugs)) thanks for welcoming me back guys.

Good luck for the test results. I've never had the same experience but I did have a series of inconclusive smears - it turned out to be nothing but you can't help worrying at the time.
Hope it's all OK :fingers crossed:

Lizzieslayer & White Hart : Thanks Guys. I really really appreciate the concern that everyone has shown me (here and on other Buffy boards) and it's surprising how much it helps and to be able to "chat" about it. I'm sure it'll turn out to be nothing *nods* but yep, I'd be lying if I didn't agree it is a skeery time.
Glad to have you back hun, and I can relate to the lump, as I've been there a few years ago, and after all the worrying, it turned out to be nothing, which I'm sure will be the case for you.
Let us know how you get on, and I'll be thinking about you

I had a suspect lump not so long ago hun and so know the worry your going through, mine turned out to be nothing and the Dr put it down to all the stress of getting divorced etc , so fingers crossed and anytime you want to chat give me a shout
Great to see you back .
Well, didn't sleep a wink last night - mainly because it was so warm and sticky here *sigh*
MissKitty & Sange: Thanks guys. The more people who say, "this happened to me and I'm okay" makes me feel tonnes better
Desire: I know it's really nice that I know I can just say, look I need to tell you guys this and I know people will be supportive.
Pegasus: well, I've never looked back to be honest - mainly it's the other things about the job I like though - I mean sometimes the paperwork side of lecturing can be like, paper/ email/ voicemail/ studentproblems hell
Plus the other thing is, it's the same money for less hassle and demand upon my time *nods*
ROMBA: Thanks and it's nice to be back

All that, and you've got your ickle big-brother-esque eye too.. How about that for service
Guys... I'm sorry it's taken me all day to get here. Um, it wasn't good news - there's no easy way to say this but they found the biopsy they took on Friday was cancerous. I have to go hospital next week to have the lymph node removed (that's what the lump is apparently) and they'll decide from there whether I need radiotherapy and/or chemo. They're not sure whether it is originating from the breast or whether it's a lymphoma. I'm fairly positive but a bit shell shocked and frightened. *sigh* Just what I needed.
