So???? How did you get on??
Must be something going round...
Everyone's being interviewed, and now it's my turn!!!
I had a phone interview to work for the Criminal Records Bureau a few weeks ago, and it all went fine and I was offered a place on their open day for a tour, interview and various tests. The only snag with it was that it was on a Saturday and I couldn't get out of working (I was off sick the previous Saturday).
They said they'd get in touch with me when the next dates came through, but when I hadn't heard anything for a while, I had given up hope.
However, I got a phonecall this morning to invite me for an interview this Sunday!!!
Now I'm so excited and I have the butterflies already...

Well, today was the day!!
I hardly slept a wink last night, and my stomach was in knots this morning.
I booked my taxi to the place so I'd arrive about 20 minutes early, and a good job it was too, as in my nerves I left all the stuff behind I was supposed to take with me (doh!), so we had to come back for them (the taxi driver was lovely though, she let me smoke in the car as she knew I was worried!)
I still made it in time and had a chance to chat to the other candidates before the day began.
Firstly we had our photo taken and handed over our identification, then we filled in some forms and were taken to their lounge area, where I indulged in coffee (free!!).
We had an introduction to the company, bla bla, then were told the itinary for the day.
My first part was my interview, I was really nervous but Remi, the woman interviewing me put me completely at ease, and when I wasn't giving long drawn out answers to questions, gave me little prompts, so my answers were more elaborate. She said at the end that my responses were great.
The next part, and the part I wasn't worried about was a typing and spelling test. We had a few paragraphs of text, which we had to reproduce in word, as much as you could in 5 minutes.
After the time was up, the guy who took us for that said I was the only person he'd seen so far that had managed to get onto the second paragraph, so that made me feel good. The spelling test was just as easy, and I completed it way before the time was due and was moved onto my next exercise.
The next and last part was a roleplay, in which I was an operator for a customer complaints line for Tesco and had to deal with a call from an irate customer. I had to resolve the situation and then record details from the call. Again the lady who took me for that said I had done well.
Part of me thinks they might just have been saying those things to be nice, but they were being really positive and it made me feel a lot more confident
I find out in 10 days time one way or the other!!

Good luck Kelly
Is the job in Liverpool by any chance? They've not long opened a big criminal records centre there.

No it's in Darwen, probably the same company that's taken it on, but they've opened a new centre here as well
*giggle* And as I said there, fingers crossed it's good news
