kinda ot: Mat and Dee's wedding fund
Hiya all,
as some of you are aware, I'm currently on the scrounge for some money for a worthy cause:
Mat 'Vinyl Mat Black' Richmond and Jeanette 'Dee' Colella are getting married in October, 2002 (on the 19th, which is the nos night!)
For all of those wondering as to why I'm posting this:
Mat and Dee have both stewarded for Starfury (and plan to do so again), also, they're the couple who help me and Hilary do the door at the Sector14 Nos nights.
[Mat has short orangey hair, a lot of tatoos (mostly Xena and Buffy related) and usually posts on most of the groups I'm sending this too. Dee =SNF (shiny new fiance)]
So there's a fairly good chance that you've come across them or seen Mat's postings in the last year and a bit.
Wedding prezzy.
Here's my suggestion for their prezzy from all of their con related friends:
just before they get married, Sector14 are having 2 cons.
Due to holidays already booked at work they can't make 'South' but CAN make 'North' up in Glasgow.
So, how about we all club togeather and give money towards their tickets, travel, accomodation, photos, autographs, booze and possibly food (depending on how much money is raised)????????
IF they have anything left after the con, then it's theirs to do with as they see fit. (As they've got to get from London to Glasgow and then do a con, I doubt there will be much left<g> )
If anyone here is interested, I'll be taking donations at the
September Nos night.
Or, if you can't make that, then please could you send cheques etc (in UK pounds, please) to:
Mat Richmond, C/O Starfury Stewards, 50 Myrtle Crescent, Slough, Berks, SL2 5BB.
I will then give them everything, probably at the september nos night.
(I've sent off for the 2 tickets. Hmmmm, at this point in time it looks like Dr Jeff and I will be donating a lot more than we expected too.)
Ya gotta admit, it'll be better than giving them towels or toasters!!!!

p.s. - haven't even started thinking about a card <beg>
p.p.s. - I'm doing this cos Mat and Dee are my friends and cos it would be a shame for them to miss out on seeing the Troika, as they are buffy fans. If this all comes togeather, then I'll get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see them up in Glasgow.
