College!!!!!
I start college tommorow. Very nervous.
I have 3 friends who are going. None are in my tutor group either.

Know how u feel I'm restarting uni on a different course in a few weeks. I'm moving in this sunday tho 2 weeks early, into a stu house with 3 ppl who I don't know!!!

I'm dreading going back to uni (if i get in that is) As its my fourth year and all of the people that were my close friends have moved to other unis. I guess i will have to spend my time in the library instead of the pub (where we would all sit with our pots of tea)

I always think its best to start Uni and College when there's no one else there you know. You're much more likely to socialise and make loads of new friends! Remember, most other people will be in the same boat

When i started college last year i didn't know anyone and was so scared but after the first week i felt lost without it! I love college now and the people, college folks tend to be alot more relaxed and less 'groupy.' Us 'alternative' people hang out with the townies and the trendies and no one bats an eye lip so whatever happens you'll find people that you'll fit in with

So how did it go??
It was well nerve racking last year even though I knew loads of people!! I ended up in a form with one of my best mates though which was cool
And I've made loads of new friends and I feel like I've known them for years!

it was...ok. Really big though! I get on the bus and it's really crowded! And it's not easy to get back on it at 4pm when college ends! Sooner I learn to drive the better!
I made friends (sounds like I'm at junior school!) with the girl in my tutor group-also in my history class which is good! I saw my 2 friends from my old school (only 3 of us from the old school there!) and my best mate from my old, old school! Only she was there with 2 friends from that school and she isn't in any lessons of mine
My old best-friend-whos-a-boy was there. Who had gone to my old, old school. Made polite conversation-he's on my bus too! My best friend spent all day trying to lose him!
Wishing very badly I had stayed at my old school for sixth form-with about 60 of us in the year! (only it might be about 50 now) Everyone knew everyone.
There is no set lunch time either so some days I may be eating by myself as friends will still be in lessons! Think I'll be in the library for half the time as I have lots of free periods! And no, it isn't a cool Sunnydale type library!
There aren't really any 'groups' like Goths and townies as everyone knows each other from their last school.
Oh well this time next year it will be my second and last year there!
And the college has the best reputation in the area and gets the best exam results so I least I know I'm at a decent place!

Glad your first days went well!!!
I start tomorrow... hmmm really not sure what to think! I'm really excited but also starting to get a bit nervous too!

Not sure if this goes off topic
I start university tommorow and I am terrified, they made me a sub warden in one of the halls of residence and I don't think I can take the responsibilty of being in halls a couple of nights a week 9on a rota not just if I decide to get an early night on the spur of the moment, especially during freshers week when I want to be out in the students union, drunk, experimenting with new drinks and doing things right this time. Also going to make going to students union everynight after lectures (or when I have skipped lectures all day) very hard.
I may have taken on to much just the person who asked me sounds so nice that whenever I have phoned to say I can't do it as I am not grown up enough she seems to talk me out of it.
I am scared that rather than being someone who is supposed to be responsible and someone people can turn to all I am going to end up doing is needing someone to turn to myself as having a bar in walking distance and clubbing all night evrynight is what uni is all about. It is not like I will just be able to go to university again, do the Freshers week and uni life properly, everyone says that a masters is more work than an undergraduate degree, but this time I have gotten my priorities right had decided to fail the masters if it conflicted with student life and to hell with the system.
At least when I was a member of University staff and not a student at 5.00 I finished work and was able to be in the students union until either 11 or 3 depending on when it closed. This seems far more restrictive.
I did think about bar work at uni, for fun (and to cut drinking costs) but this although this should be easierNot sure if this goes off topic
