WElcome Back White Hart!!! Good to hear that everything is working out OK. I really hope that the move goes OK and that it isn't too stressful.
I'm back!
Well, here I am again. After two weeks of everything being utterly hellish it looks like life is getting back on track!
We signed a 12-month lease on a house today, it's a 3-bedroom semi in north Oxford, there's a garden, and they'll let us have the dog there. We're moving in on Monday even though Tim doesn't finish working at the pub till next Friday. We've also had to rearrange the evening reception for our wedding because the new owners of the pub, while they said we could still have the reception there, wouldn't agree to close to the general public for the evening Cos we really want any Tom, Dick or Harry being able to wander in, of course....
However, we have somewhere to live and the wedding plans are safe. I feel much better than I did, I've started to get excited about the wedding again, and it's good to be back here, although given that I'm moving house on Monday you may well not see very much of me for a bit...

Welcome back duder! Glad that you've got a new house sorted out, hope the move isn't too stressful!
Hiya hun! Glad to hear everything has taken a turn for the good at last. Still feel the way you've both been handled by the breweries is absolutely atrocious.
I for one will not be drinking in the White Hart in Oxford for some time.

You have to make sure you get the right one though - I can think of at least five White Harts in Oxford!! In fact there's one about 100 yards from our new front door although it doesn't look as nice as the pub next door but one to it. Don't you just love villages?

Actually, we're more inclined to boycott Six Incompetents' pubs generally, which will actually be quite easy because they're almost all horrible theme pubs we wouldn't voluntarily set foot in anyway
Glad to hear things are working out better for you now.
Hope you find a new venue for your reception too

White Hart, just for you I will boycott all the White Hart's in Oxford. And I'll boycott the Six Incompetents, but I don't know of any in Reading. There probably is, but they don't seem to advertise the fact.
Six Incompetents Retail is the pub company formerly known as Bass. Pretty much all of their pubs are branded so you need to avoid It's a Scream, All Bar One, Vintage Inns, Toby Carvery, Goose Inns, O'Neills, Rosie O'Gradys and Harvester among others. Actually I think there's a fair case for a boycott just because branding pubs is evil, quite apart from how they've treated us!

OK, Don't know of any Vintage Inns, Toby Carveries, Goose Inns or Rosie O'Gradys. I hate O'Neills and only go in when dragged on work do's. All Bar One I'm also not keen on. Unfortunately, there's an It's a Scream pub at the end of my road, which is kinda handy. Don't particularly like it 'cos its souless, but some of my mates like it, especially for the number of young student lovelies that hang out there...

And Harvesters are the ones with Wacky Warehouses aren't they? Unfortunately, a lot of family do's tend to get held at these...
Hmmm. My boycott of Six Incompetents isn't going to be as easy as I hoped.
