Our old pub was supposed to be haunted by the woman who ran it as a brothel in the 1600s. We never saw anything but the coffee machine did sometimes start pouring drinks spontaneously, so maybe she was thirsty

I try to avoid spooky places though. I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts, but if I do they definitely scare me!

Spike, I'll take you that church if ya like one day. Sounds a great place to go visit. I like the whole scaring yourself thing

Apparently Robert Plant used to own this country house near Loch ness near where i used to stay which linked to this graveyard and crypt building that he used for his occult stuff. Sounds like BS to me but it would be cool none the less

well I live quite near to Stonehenge which is a spooky place and it also has a haunted pub there. There is a haunted church not far from where I live and a forest with a ghostly horseman.

It seems a lotta places have a "woman in white"


I have to say my bedroom is quite freaky. I mean my house isn't that old, nearly 50 years but the former owner died in it. And only recently I've started to see odd things. Like shadows, but then again it maybe me just making myself believe these things. I was in bed the other night and I swear I saw a shadow. Then my jeans for no reason fell of my chair. It creeped me out and I hid under my covers and I could hear my heart pounding in the room. I really do believe my room maybe a bit haunted. Cos its ALWAYS cold!! I thought it was cos it was the extension but I dunno.
There's also a lot of places round Norwich which are incredibly haunted. I've never seen any ghosts in those places though. Also Blickling Hall, a huge stately home is incredibly haunted. Anne Boleyn used to live there and it said on the anniversary of her death, her coach rides between two trees on the distance and she sits in the carriage with her head in her hands! Pretty scary but once again I've never seen anything!
Ooh and my dad's office is haunted too. In his warehouse people saw a hooded figure walk through the shelves and dissapear. His office is built on an old monastrey and freaky things happen, like light switches go on and off and telephones ring for no reason and sometimes the heaters can spontaneously switch off.

I thought that was Jimmy Page??

I know he owned Aleister Crowley's old place somewhere in the Scottish Highlands. And i'm positive it was Jimmy Page who had a (some say) excessive interest in the occult, but hey, i could be wrong

But the biggest thing is Clop Hill, ok its about 15 minutes away from stevenage and i've never been there but so want to. The stories you hear about it. Basically its ruins of a devils church, the cross is pointing the wrong wa and satanists are still supposed to go there on certain ngihts and thet have to block it all off on halloween. the people i know who have been say its always foggy and jsut really creepy the whole area and feels horrible. I so wanan go some time but my mates are too scared to drive there and check it out

I've been to the church on top of the hill (I'm sure it was called Deadmans Hill, but I might be wrong) when I was younger (I used to go out with someone who lived in Silsoe, the next village). It was so scary & it was foggy when we went too. We also went to West Wycombe caves which is also spooky and the boys drove off and left us Come to think of it we went to loads of spooky places but I don't know why 'cos I'm the biggest wimp going

Tony Adams lives over the road from me - thats scary enough

And my school church, All Saints by Putney Bridge, was used in the film 'The Omen'

Oh and the snooker hall i used to play in was haunted - we saw an old bloke in the corner one minute and he was gone the next. We were the only ones in there and told the barman and he says a few people have seen him.

My auntys house is soooo freaky, about 8 years ago I saw someone waving at me in the hall when I was upstairs in the front room, it was like a shadow of a person waving at me. I thought I'd lost it but my friend who was there just looked at me and went 'did you just see that?' So we ran away! The upstairs is very eerie and cold!

That sounds sooo good, Id love to go there!

Where i lived in Cardiff we had a haunted grave stone in a disused church yard. the statue on top of the tomb would move to each end depending on the years,even tho it was a solid part of the lid!
the Vicarage was haunted too, by a couple of children. when i went to comunion lessons years ago we all heard childrens laughter even tho there were no children in the house(apart from us). and sounds of footsteps running upstairs too.
there was also a lot of ancient standing stones in my area that gave a very eerie powereful feeling, like being very warm even when it was snowing and freezing cold.
I now live near Highgate cemetary which is very old and spooky, and has a legend of the highgate vampire. ive really got to check out my local area, cos i love haunted places.
really wanna do a ghost hunt like they have on tv at the moment

I don't know of any haunted places right by near where I live but you hear about local legends.

Apparently Biggin Hill in Kent (not far from me) is haunted by World War 1 & 2 people/planes etc and Keston Ponds in Bromley is supposidly haunted as well.

My parents' house is supposed to be haunted. Two guys used to live there ages ago and either one or both of them committed suicide there. But I lived there for 14 years and never saw anything.

On my way home from school there is a old woman (in white) who might be a man who sits at her window and stares at everyone with her psycho eyes. Extremely eerie.

The shop I work in is built on the ruins of an old monastry. About 900 years ago the place was raided by the English, the monks slaughtered and the place burnt to the ground.

We get loads of spooky noises and my CD player at work is forever skipping/pausing when I play it(It's fine at home though uzzled

Thats about the only haunted thing I can think of around here just now.

No cos like two mobiles rang at the exaclty the same time and the number didnt come up on the miss calls bit. And I think one time my dad couldn't find his mobile and he'd left it by the computer and it was found somewhere else.

Prank phonecalls phioning 2 phones and moving objects so people think they are mad, i do it all the time
