i never did apply but was gonig to and a lot of my classmates did and I think only 1 got into it. But basically yuo are gonna need a hell of lot of work in your portfolio to impress them at an interview and very good quality too.

you need to have *alot* of drawings, even if its a graphics course, its all about drawings, and the folder should be A1 and make sure oyu can explain each piece of work well.

The best decision I made, as far as getting on an art degree course is concerned, was doing an art foundation course. It's a 1 year full-time BTEC and covers every aspect of art and design, which helps you to focus on what type of uni course you want to do while building your portfolio at the same time. As you then have your A-level results when applying for your degree, plus are doing a course that proves your commitment to art & design, it takes the pressure off and makes the process easier.

I can't give advice on interviews though as I never had one. I only applied to 2 universities and received an unconditional offer from one, and a conditional offer (had to pass the foundation course) from the other. I did have an interview for my foundation year though and KaTiEStar is right... draw everything! I wouldn't say your folder has to be A1 though as a few people I knew who didn't do art A-level had smaller ones and still did OK.
