Is 'Bowling for Columbine' coming out on commercial release? I want to see it, it looks great! It has to be said, after reading most of 'Stupid White Men', I reckon Michael Moore is a genius.

Haven't been to many movies lately. But I just saw "Bowling for Columbine," which I thought was great.
Last movie you saw at the cinema, one you want to see?
Inspired by Linz's post. I saw for some ungodly reason "Slap her...She's french!" Which is complete pants. It was a laugh but so not worth the money to see it. I would like to see Triple X cos mmmm Vin Diesel and it looks awesome...
What bout you??

I think it's out over here pretty soon, I think they were reviewing it on Radio 4 the other evening. Tho' you'll probably need to find a decent independent cinema to see it.

EDIT: It's on general release this Friday (15th November).

It was out of keeping with the rest of the film. Having the scene at the end just spoiled the mystery and made it more 'Independence Day'. Having said that, it was still a top film.

difference of personal opinion hun, i enjoyed the film and made me jump like it was supposed to but the ending was off (and straight from the start - the family photo gave it away- knew it was about Mel regaining his faith first and aliens second)
(oh and the tv new report "people all over the world found a 'primative' way to fight back but we have no details of that at this time" PER-LEEZE! why didnt they just say? how did they know it was 'primative' unless they KNEW what it was and why didnt they spread the word to save more people??????)

Last Film: Men In Black II (don't care what the reviews said, i saw it and enjoyed it a lot! )
Next Film: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (can't wait! ), and Two Towers
MIB2 was also the last movie I saw, and Harry Potter2 is the next one I want to see. Two Towers looks good but I would like to see Lord of the Rings first. Seems we have the same taste in movies Keeny
The last film I saw was The Four Feathers - overall, not bad but could have been so much better. Was looking forward to it: stiff upper lips, thin red lines, ripping yarns etc but the story jumped about bit abruptly, caused, I think, by too much time spent of sweeping landscape panoramas and not enough on the plot and characters.
Next film: probably one of the obvious candidates, The Two Towers, Chamber of Secrets or Die Another Day. Work's getting a bit hectic so I'll probably have to wait till I get back to London to see those though.

First of all ive seen 28 days later and ive never wanted to leave a film sooo much, because it bored me stiff! such a bad movie. great ideas badly executed, and not at all scary, except for having to sit through it
last movie i saw was Harry potter and chamber of secrets- this is a brilliant film and the actors have matured brilliantly. the story is much darker and the effects excellent.
next film - Bond-die nother day and the lotr two towers

I see from a post below this that "Bowling for Columbine" will be out in the UK this Friday. It's definitely worth seeing. One of the first scenes is when he goes into some bank in Michigan where they give you a free gun if you open up an account. It's hilarious--and totally sad at the same time since it's all true.

I had to serach around quite a bit here to find the movie. Just one theatre in my area was showing it, and on a very small screen. But Micheal Moore has a very loyal--if relatively small--following here, and almost all thea seats were full.
I didn't read "Stupid White Men," but I've seen a couple of Michael Moore's other movies, and I loved his Tv shows. He had one called "TV Nation" and another that I think was called "The Awful Truth." Sooooo funny.
Same as you Keeny, except I thought MIB 2 was absolutely rubbish! I probably won't get to see Harry Potter as I don't have a handy kid to go with, and am too embarrassed to go by myself, so my next one will probably be LOTR The Two Towers. (That's if I can persuade my brother to go after the first one was ruined by idiot children being extremely noisy. )
