Just browsing...

...to find out which internet browser people use?

I stick with IE, although I know Rob tends to use both to check whether his websites will work in both Internat Explorer and Netscape.

Stoo There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.

Mainly relying on IE6 until Mozilla releases a stable version which works on my system without locking up, or not exiting properly. Any web dev stuff I do, I check it in both IE and Netscape/Mozilla, and any other browsers I can find..

I've tried using netscape at other people's houses but didn't like it. I guess you just get used to what you know.

IE for me as well.....Are Microsoft still paying a monthly fine to Netscape for bundling IE with Windows??

IE - I used to use Netscape years ago when I was at uni (back in the dark ages when the Internet was in its infancy), but since then all the computers I've used have IE bundled in so it's just easier.

IE 6 on my home machines, IE 5 on my work laptop (stone-age primitive - still running NT 4!) and Xiino 1.0 on my Palm.

Galeon (gecko/mozilla based browser) at work and home. I do check my work in IE 5.0, 5.5 and 6 once in a while to see what bugs in IE need working around...

gobstopper Eventually, I'll think of something witty to put here ;-)

For the past couple of weeks, I have been running a product called "Smart Explorer" which my brother told me about.

Seems to work just like IE (and seems to have inherited all of my IE settings), but the main difference is that it manages to stop 95% of those annoying pop-up adverts from appearing.

Bliss.

Mozilla. Because it *finally* seems to work as reliably as IE6 for me and has some very neat extra features, like tabbed browsing, that actually make the switch worthwhile, not just unpainful.

Because I know there'll be doubters: www.xulplanet.com/ndeakin/arts/reasons.html - 101 things Mozilla can do that IE can't.

Netscape, Mozilla and IE of varying versions both at home and work. Also Opera and a custom browser at work.

I default to Netscape at work, and IE at home, using the others for testing or for specific jobs.

IE6 at the mo' but I think I'm going to have another go at Opera once I get broadband.

I don't really feel like downloading the JVM over dialup.

I might have a look at some of the Linux browsers after broadband as well.

Anyone got any reccomendations? 'm currentlymrunning the default install of Red Hat 7.2 on my other comp.

IE6 @ Home
IE5.5 @ Work (For compatibility testing)

Also got Netscape 4.75 but have now stopped trying to get webpages to work properly on Netscape as less than 3% of people are still using netscape (Stats from my website traffic).

Galeon (http://galeon.sourceforge.net/) quite fast and very configurable... tabs rule.

Make sure you view this page with Netscape... and the effect is 100% W3C-standard CSS1.
