They're recording a new album to follow up "Take off your pants and jacket." Mark and Tom have just become fathers so they've been busy and Travis has been in Boxcar Racer and The Transplants so they haven't been in the studio earlier

On a side note, in the new box car racer video, Tom looks very much like Jim from jimmy eat world (the singer from jimmy eat world).
