They might Spike. Try it anyways. I noticed that a lot more girls wear ties now. Me and my friend used to wear them (before Avril though ). I love pink and used to wear my mates bright pink tie. Everyone said I looked really cool. I got a few Avril comments recently, as I had my hair straightened and looked "similar". I wore my old school tie the other weekend but I got so many "did you go to school today or something" comments that I decided not to wear it much more

Nah hon your not too old, i'm not into this whole tie thing either! I think it looks rather stupid but thats just my opinion. The only tie I own is my old school tie which is always in my underwear drawer and is still tied in the last knot i had it in the day I left school over 3 years ago. Never been able to throw it away for some reason or take out the knot and if i find anyone has then its the end for them

well they are not in this months Vogue so I think not!

As for the casual tie look, has to be the right outfit and the right person. In truth, I've not seen a bloke do it who didn't look like they could be a male model. What the heck, give it a try. But not with picture ties...

If you think it looks cool then go for it. Personally I don't do ties. Although I saw this bloke wearing a really cool leopard-print silk scarf type thing recently... might have to go trawling the charity shops...

Ties always remind me of stuffy environments like business meetings and things. The guys in our office never wear ties to work unless they are on the way or on the way back from meeting with clients.

I think guys look far more relaxed wearing casual clothing than ties. Although picture ties do make me laugh, but you'd still have to wear them with a proper shirt - not a tshirt.

Me and my mates sometimes wear ties, not because of Avril though. Some of my lad mates do too though and they look good as long as you tie it loose and dont look like you're off to school.

A couple of my friends do as it seems to be the latest trend I know a few guys who also wear ties but one, wears it with the same disgusting shirt all the time! I don't think it's ever been washed - my friends and i are contemplating buying him a new set of shirts for xmas

Personally i don't like it - i don't see the point, but some people like it

I sometimes wear a tie when i go out, and I tie it properly (can't pull off the loose look) and I certainly don't look like a male model. But yes, picture ties are somewhat naff.

um i don't think a tie and t-shirt works at all. looks a bit silly if you ask me. strangely up here (geordieland) people seem to have given up on ties. though gotto say nowt looks more swanky than a black shirt and grey tie, swish!
