Ok, so Maff has helped me out. I re-downloaded the latest version and it is different to what I had earlier. Got my smilies back now so I'm happy Would be nice to know what it was I did have

I have had so many problems with this that i could rant for sometime. So you have my sympathys

I've downloaded this and I can't connect. Not only that, but after I've tried to sign in my internet conection seems to freeze up and I have to reboot to get anywhere again

I learn loads from the members of this site... this thread is telling me be careful about downloading the latest version of MSN Messenger as it looks as if it spells chaos for the computer

Is this a Beta version that people are downloading? Or is it just a very new Alpha version which is feeling the strain now that it is in wider circulation?

Does anyone have any ideas?

It's been telling me that there were updates available when I opened it, and it's also the version available from the site so I'm assuming it's all been fully tested.

I've redownloaded it so I'm going to have another go in a minute

I haven't bothered downloading the new version, but I think Spike found out the other night you can get more people into msn chat now
