I'd like to write for one but there isn't one at my school and they unfortunately have no intention to produce one either However, i'm going to try to write for the magazine at the 6th form college because i'd like to go into journalism and student paper is a good way to get a taste of it
School/college magazines/papers
Just wondering if anyone here has written for or set up the above.
At lunch today I was talking to a girl who thought it was a great idea and we planned it out and are going to discuss it with some staff members soon.

I was involved with the newsletter for our Residents' Association when I lived in halls at Uni. It was great fun and I learnt a lot... like how to write sarcastic photo captions, how to come up with an article in 30 minutes because you have a blank half-page, and how to subtly change the font size to make your articles fit the allocated spaces.
I must get around to scanning some of the issues I have before they disintegrate!

Ferretgirl, if your school doesnt produce one, is there anything to stop you just making your own independant production or would you get told off?
Back in my day (hehe, like im so old), doing magazines on computers or by hand was quite a challenge. Nowadays, its probably never been easier for the ameteur to make their own newpaper/magazine, and whatsmore produce something that looks pretty slick too.
