WAH...my website has been suspended! :(

HELP!!

I have not been abole to get to my website for a couple of days and I just assumed that the server was down (as I have had prob lems with this before.) When Paul (other half) tried to access the admin system for the site, it wouldn't let him in and it looks like the accountr for my site has been suspended for some reason. I KNOW that its not a bandwidth issue seeeing as the package that we signed up for had unlimited bandwidth.

Now I've lost all the work that I had done on the site since November 5th.

(Paul made a back up then, Thank God!)

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

Any help would be appreciated!

the package that we signed up for had unlimited bandwidth.

I'd be impressed if it really is unlimited -- very few ISPs will offer genuine unlimited bandwidth, and those that do will charge a fortune for it.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you spoken to the ISP yet?

Boyfriend has emailed htem, but has had nothing back.

I'm not sure how much people can help, I'm just curious to try and work out why they would have suspended it.

This is soooooo irritating!

Is Plesk used by your ISP to manage customer websites, or is it something you run on there yourselves?

Phoning them will get a much better response than email - at least you'll be able to find out right away if the account's been locked out.

Awww hun, did you not keep a backup of the site at home?

Your site appears to be hosted somewhere in Calafornia? Is this correct? Maybe someone just messed up your DNS records.

First check with your ISP, if you're paying for a service they should notify you if they terminate it. If its sucking too much bandwidth, usually they put a page up saying so.

As someone else said - "Unlimited bandwidth" is a farce. Its unlimited until it becomes popular when suddenly they tell you to pay lots of money for the service. They will cover theirselves in the Ts&Cs though.

At the end of the day, any site that gobbles large amounts of bandwidth is gonna cost.

Finally got an email back from them saying that we had gone over the bandwidth limit (GRRRRRRR

) but they said that if we found a way of cutting down the bandwidth, then they would reactivate it. So I removed the downloads section, and as of yesterday afternoow, its back up and I havrn't lost anything!

Now all I have to do is find somewhere to put my downloads...

Glad its sorted though.
