Well that wasn't fun.

I stayed in the office in North London until just after 8pm and decided to make a run for it. I finally got home (27 miles later) at 10:50pm!

Just spoke to a colleague who also lives about 12 miles further North in Essex and he left at 5pm and was just pulling up outside his house at 11:05pm! - poor bugger.

It's a good job I've got broadband now, because if it's anything like this in the morning, I think that I'll work from home...

yeah driving is not a good idea, mtook my mum 2 hours to drive home and its normally a 5 minute journey, the roads are chocka, when iw as walknig back from work nothing was moving.

We even have snow here!

Well it looks like its settled on the ground here tonight. I couldn't shut the window very well this morning as ice had settled on the lock

So if its icy out there I'm taking bets on me slipping over at some point!! Snow pretty, cold not

Well, I can consider myself lucky. News reports show some poor people in Essex still hadn't got home after 18 hours!

Suffice to say I didn't try to go back in. The wonders of technology allow me to work from home

Joel has been sent home from school due to the weather. The funny thing is, the weather was much worse yesterday and when i expected him to get sent home, he didn't.. today it is clear, bright and very cold and he's sent home, so i've got them both home driving me nuts til Ray gets back from his course (which won't be til after 5.30pm tonight )

Now I know why I hate snow

It takes me 2 1/2hrs to do a 20 mile drive & B is off school ('tho Sam is at school and they're in the same village, go figure!) It's not even that deep here And I didn't get my newspaper delivered this morning.

We've got an absolute ton of it since it snowed again last night and settled over the top of the stuff that was already there.

Cue the mass snowball fight tonight - the accommodation blocks are perfect for it as well, we got a hillside, steps, walls, blocks to run in and out of (and to bombard people from above)...ooooooh I'm getting tingly just thinking about it

And I didn't get my newspaper delivered this morning.

We use a courier at work called City Link. Whilst we don't necessarily send stuff everyday the guy always calls in because he has regular connections from downstairs.
They telephoned today to say anything we had collected yesterday wouldn't be a guaranteed delivery (which I thought was fair enough) but then went on to say that they weren't making any pickups today.

I was baffled as the roads didn't seem too bad today, and we even had a different company make it to our office to make a drop off

I'm in 2 minds about the snow at the moment......

I got in at 4.30pm and left before 6pm, so i'm more than happy
