I trust that the people who have responded by letter to the Guardian are not typical readers, since it would reflect badly on the paper's readership as most of these letters themselves contain swearing which goes beyond quoting the original offending material.

Hummmmmmmm. I can imagine why people would be suprised by it, but in my opinion it is the perfect cover for the feature in question. And to the reader who said that they would be embarressed showing their teenage sons the paper... I'm sure they hear worse in the playground!
So, any other thoughts? Should my bosses be lined up against the wall for this or is it all harmless fun?
