ok its the middle of summer, you want a christmas tree, but oh no they don't start selling them until winter. its january you want some fireworks and halloween costumes, oh dear, no where near october or november so they are hard to get. Yes the 1st shop to sell all off season stuff all year round. It'll be split nito sections, halloween, Guyfawkes, christmas, Easter, Valentines and in the middle will be the season its closest to. So peopel will come to sopecially get off season stuff they may need for other reasons or want to get now rathewr thn having to get it all nearer the time. Do you think it'd work?

I've seen Christmas shops in Florida. Bit odd walking in from 80 degree heat to be faced with snowmen & Father Christmas 
Posted: 23:06 Jan 08 2003 yeah but theya re always packed and do really well, but this shop will have all the seasons and people will coem from all over the contry jsut to get off seasno stuff they can't get anywhere else. see they may want fireworks for a birthday party, or halloween stuff for fancey dress or a christmas tree becasue they like to put their decorations up early, and i'm sure cadburys creme eggs in the easter section would sell out instantly cuz of someone off this very board.

I think Spike is right in some respects, not *all* stuff classed as seasonal should be seasonal. Take mince pies for example - hubby loves them, but already tesco is knocking them out at halfprice as they are counted as seasonal foods

so the shops are dictating that you should only eat them over xmas.Also things like crackers and decorations - why limit them for xmas when they could be used year round for birthday parties

Actually, household goods are just as bad. I remember wanting a fan last August, but places like Argos etc remove them from the catalogue around then cause its moving into Autumn/Winter when they expect you don't need fans anymore
I'm sure Tam mentioned something months ago about being told an ironing board was seasonal in some shop!!

Of course Ironing boards are seasonal, Ironing is a winter activity

I'm sure Tam mentioned something months ago about being told an ironing board was seasonal in some shop!!
You go shopping in summer, then wear all your clothes then come winter you run out of new clothes to wear and have to Iron them.

that would be the co-op. they got stacks of creme eggs that i have to drag myself past sometimes.
