By cutting the bread at an angle it maximises the amount of cut matter, thus releasing more particles and enhancing the smell and flavour.
Sandwiches
Why is it that sandwiches always taste better when cut triangularly? My dad cuts tem into rectangles and they're just NOT the same ( or is it just me? lol)

thank you thank you, please try tellnig the lambs this, they are very kind though and do tend to serve me triangular sandwiches when i stay ronud their house.
I think I'm in a minority here...
I prefer my sandwiches not cut at all, but rectangle is just as good as triangle, & I like my cheese in slices. The fact that I cut my cheese slices about an inch thick has nothing to do with it

Cheese has ro be in slices, if you grate it, it ends up as a horrible sticky mess.
I prefer triangles to rectangles (or squares) but my favourite type of bread is a crusty cob.

I prefer Triangles too and I also like my cheese grated I only eat Hovis Baked Bean bread as well. OK so I'm totally fussy
Ok, am I the only one who's never heard of this? Does it have Baked Beans *in* it, or is it made for "soldiers" to dip in it or what?

So you put everything though the blender?

It's got pictures of Baked Beans on the packaging..it's just a medium loaf...the thick loaf has piccys of cucumbers on it...can't remember what the others have off-hand...and we call it baked-bean bread at work as well

Well I agree, triangles do taste better but only with precut bread! I *much* prefer uncut bread cut an inch thick, preferably straight out of my aunties oven with her home made butter and jam too.

I think it depends on your liking of cheese, some people eat cheese on its own ewww

Yes! Triangle sandwiches do taste better. Also grated cheese tastes better than slices of cheese.
I *love* cheese on its own! I can't get enough of the sruff and don't mind it grated or sliced in sandwiches. And I'll have it with salad cream, coleslaw, pickle, brown sauce.

I am a cheese addict!!
That just mixes all the particles into an overpowering mush. So no distinct flavour can escape. You just get one big mush.

A bit like baby food.
With cheese slices, the bread has to be toasted.

rectangles, and cheese slices. big thick ones. yumm.
Bread *has* to be Hovis extra thick slice - now that is yummy
Cheese - well I'm only partial to red cheese. Its a quirk I've had since I was young (probably the artificial flavouring or something ) and I can quite happily eat that on its own or as a sandwich. Can't comment on the triangle thing as I always have mine in rectangles.
Oh and grated cheese!!!! nasty
