LOL Spike, that's babies for ya!!

Glad that she's doing better, it'll be worrying for her parents more than anything, but it's good that the problem seems to have sorted itself out

Welllll... Hannah will be two next Thursday (eek!! ). She's doing very well now, she's caught up with her peers, and size wise she seems to be on par with the usual two year old size, though she's actually taller than two children of friends' of mine and they are both closer to three years of age!!. I haven't had her weighed since before Christmas so i have no idea what she weighs.. but she's heavy. She's got shoulder-length dark blonde curls and huge blue eyes. We're going through the "terrible two's" with her, say no and she throws a god-honest tantrum, with tears and throwing herself to the ground.. which i just let her get on with.. compared to some of Joel's tantrums, they're nothing .

She's talking well, eating well and her sleep can be a bit hit and miss sometimes.. she sometimes wakes in the wee small hours if she's kicked her blankets off and is cold, or she just needs a little reassurance, she quickly settles down.

She absolutely adores the Teletubbies at the moment.. she's pinched all her brother's old Teletubbies videos and is rationed to one a day if she's been good . She's also partial to the Fimbles and Andy Pandy also.

Her favourite person in the whole wide world is her daddy. I'm down the line somewhere . She has a lovely, mischeivous wicked sense of humour and she's also learning how to jump.. though hasn't quite figured it out just yet.

She's also close to being introduced to the potty.. she's showing signs of not really needing nappies, so we're hoping to start in the next month or so

She's just beautiful at the moment and i'm really blessed, and i'll have photos this weekend at the TParty to show off for all who are interested

spike - I know I don't have any kids, but your babby sounds as though she has colic or something. Need her to lay off the cow's milk, or if she's still feeding from her mother, for her mother to stop drinking cow's milk for a while... sounds random, but it works...

I've had two babies, and regurgitating milk along with stomach acid isn't (necessarily) caused by colic.. some say colic is caused by a spasm in the tummy, others say it's wind bubbles trapped in the intestine.. causes pain and hence the little one pulls their legs up and screams. My oldest had terrible colic when he was tiny, he screamed a whole evening non-stop with it when he was six weeks old, and most evenings til he was three months old and then it vanished as quickly as it appeared but it still gives me a wiggins just thinking about it and he's nine now. Fortunately my youngest wasn't colicky at all, she just got rid of her wind another way For colic, different things work with different babies.. massage, gripe water, Infacol... with my son Infacol did the trick

colic / noun / spasmodic abdominal pain.

which basically means: Anything from indegestion to a twisted gut.


Thank you 'Vets in Practice' So saying someone has colic is just a scarry way of saying stomach ache.
