Sorry, I meant in the US!

There is. I just imagine it's a very short one.
Run away. Very fast.
Found the video of the US's final test in Philadelphia of the new MOAB (can't remember the actual acronym but people're already calling it the Mother of All Bombs ) bomb, which is now the World's most powerful non-nuclear bomb (about 21,000 pounds! ) And guess where/when the first 'real' use of it will be?
Anyway, to see this monstrosity in action, click here.

In which case there very definitely is. Quite possibly too much of one. Paradoxically, US military doctrine seems to place a lot of emphasis on pushing initiative down to the ranks but its command/communications infrastructure allows micromanagement on a massive level. This isn't particularly new either - apparently President Johnson was constantly checking up on the Marine garrison at Khe Sanh during the Tet Offensive because there was a dread fear of Khe Sanh becoming the US' Dien Bien Phu.
Combined with enormous general political sensitivity about any war in Iraq, what this probably means is that use of NBC munitions will probably be extremely tightly controlled, all the way up to Bush himself, even if a US unit finds or believes itself under NBC attack.
Not much of a consolation but if the US uses any NBC weapons in Iraq, it'll most likely be a deliberate decision, not an accident!
