Easily Understood Techie Help Needed!!
I'm signed up to Freeserve Anytime, and this morning i get an email telling me about a piece of software called the "Freeserve Connection Kit" which will attempt to connect me to the internet on any other FS numbers should i get an engaged tone.
I'm advised to print out the instructions, which i did. Now, being "blonde" about this kind of stuff, i followed the instructions to the letter.
Step 2 involves the installation.
To install it, i have to press "open" or "run this program from its current location", which, in my case is the former, but when i do, i get the Internet Connection Wizard informing me that it's "unable to process internet sign up file". I call the free phone number and they say that i've only d/loaded part of the file (obviously) and that i check in the "sign up file" to check why it won't process. They think it could be either the email or my sign up file is corrupted.
How the heck do i do this to check if it's corrupted or not. The guy at Freeserve says not to "mess" with the signup file as i could cause more problems. So what the heck do i do??
And please.. blonde here, so any help, could the instructions be in plain english so i can follow it??..
Anyone else with Freeserve Anytime have this problem?. Normally when i get stuff like this, i can install new software etc with no problems, but this has got me flummoxed, which i know, is nothing new
