We used to have loads of hamsters and gerbils when ickle ,the two things that I remember most about having em was once one of mine tried to go into hibernation , where we lived at the time got really cold at night , so to wake it up we gently warmed it with the hairdryer but what seemed to work the best was the brandy my dad fed it from a straw
The other was one of my sisters hamsters "Honey" was forever escaping and we would always find it under the gas fire, it would come out when we rattled its food , and there it was with a singed tail everytime, it was a lomg haired one and had a ickle stubby tail
