In Norway Telenor's whole marketing campaign was about home networking.
If you signed up for ADSL before 31/12/2001, you got the ADSL converter, an ADLS modem, a 10/100 PCI network card, a headset with mic and a Logitech webcam.
All for 10 pence - well NKR 1 which is actually less....
The connection we got was 128/384 unlimited, for £40 per month.
I hooked it up to a wireless access point, so now we have internet throughought the house

My sis in Denmark has a Cablemodem that supports both USB and Ethernet. Most Cable/ADSL boxes in the Netherlands use Ethernet

Thanks guys. Doing some contract work on online console gaming and it occured to me that the console manufacturers' approaches are ethernet-oriented but a large proportion of ADSL connections in the UK will be single-computer/USB-based...
