You know you're getting old when you mutter (of music) "Well the original was so much better"
You know you're getting old when...
You first say the words... 'thats a bit sweet for me'

the phrase "i was *never* like/would never do that as a child! kids these days..." with sincere shock and hurt

When you realise that pubs serving people who are underage is a bad thing.
Guess that means I am not old then
When you find yourself saying "there's no way they can be at university! They don't look 18!"
When you start to notice the anti-wrinkle cream ads on telly
When you walk into what used to be a favourite pub/bar only to realise that you are at least 4 years older than everyone else there (including the bar staff!)
When the 80s seem like only yesterday...

You know you're old when Otter from Animal House has become the Vice President of the United States....
"We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part."

But you're just odd

Actually on a par with this - who is the danceholic (who incidentally obviously mimes to the song) performing the latest version of Transvision Vamps "Baby I don't care"

I think it's Jennifer Ellison who was in Brookside, but I could be wrong.
Following on with the theme:
You know you're getting old when you see young girls out in next to nothing and think "I wonder if her mum and dad know she's out dressed like that"

When you go out to a club look around and realise that the mojority of people there weren't even born when you started clubbing. this is true it's happened to me *shudder*
Or you look at the young girls in clubs and say out loud "Does your mother know you're dressed like that?"
But then I remember when I was their age I did as well..... oh wait..... I *still* do
