Was that today? Doh!
Cardiff: The dream is over...
Well, it just wasn't meant to be. Saints fought hard but Arsenal were the better team and created more chances. Saints did make things interesting towards the end but we didn't take advantage of the few opportunities we had and Seaman and Cole made great saves when we did.
So, congratulations Arsenal on retaining the Cup and well done Saints, you did Southampton proud and can hold your heads high.
Here's to a great season in the Premiership and Europe next year and thrashing Pompey when we play them

I was swearing at Strachan in the second half. Why he left Fernandez on the bench until four minutes from time (did he even touch the ball?) I will never know.
Inc - yeah, it was a strange decision to keep Fernandes on the bench that long. I know he can be a bit selfish and fancy for his own good sometimes but we needed his pace and passing a lot sooner.

Pretty entertaining first half, and Southampton were unlucky to lose that goal 5 mins before half time, but to be honest Arsenal always looked the more likely team to score - even though there were playing well below their best.
At least you're still in Europe next season.
