Saturday 24th is the date for this years Eurovision, those who where in chat last year will remember the general fun to be had picking out the bad songs, bad clothes and of course Tery Wogan making it cleaer he thinks its a joke too.
So if you fancy alaugh join us in IRC chat at 8pm, and generally make fun of people, lets face it, they are asking for it
bipolar "Aurgh! Arugh jeeez!! NO! NO NINA! BAD NINA!"
*pout* im gonna be at a christening then later someone's birthday so im gonna miss this ... *thinks* ... oh well.
Teresa "So I can come inside of your kiss and just leave you on your knees"
I'll be in Hastings with Jola and Yvonne
Whistler"I wonder wonder why the wonder falls. I wonder why the wonder falls on me. I wonder wonder why the wonder falls, with everything I touch and hear and see."
Shame it clashes with Nos night, it being their 'End Of Buffy' party and all.

Dammit! I can't believe I'm gonna miss Eurovision! We had such a laugh watching last years. Even now I still burst into random chorus' of 'Saggapo'!
Oh well, you'll have to all post the highlights on this thread for us Nossers to read the following day.
Sydney You can lead the whore to culture but you can't make her think!
This is the first year in ages that i'll not be in to watch the naff fest that is Eurovision I'll miss Terry's scathing comments!

And tATu! Dammit, I'll miss tATu!!
I'm sooooo tempted to tape it (not just for tATu ), but how sad would that be?!
Milky "Busted - Now that you're gone, I'm sleeping with the light on..." Pof, 2005
I'll be in chat for this..will be a good way to take my mind of the fact I can't afford to go out this weekend
Yeah TATU should be pretty good hopefully they won't do anything to get themslves banned from the contest.
Terry Wogan's commentary should be interesting LOL.
I just remembered I have to go do, um something interesting. I know I'll go do the ironing :/
SamphiretteTo you I guess I'm just a clown who picks you up each time you're down
Not sure what I'm doing Saturday night yet - I usually switch the subtitles on Eurovision so I know what the non-english singers are talking about (this is often funnier than dishing the track)
"The Tatu two are set to become three - to prevent an embarrassing flop on stage at Saturday's Eurovision Song Contest."
What automatically crossed my mind is that they were drafting in an extra singer to drown the pair of them out - but apparently one of them actually has a vocal concern at the moment.
If for any reason they have to resort to lesbian acts (to win you understand :rolleyes then the BBC will
"But we will have a taped performance from the dress rehearsal, so we can always switch to that if need be."
Sorry just one of the funniest things I've read in a while
I can't believe i sat through this tripe... and oh dear, no points for the UK.. and we aren't relegated as the UK apparently contribute a lot to Eurovision.. worse luck.
But i have to say, Jemini were shocking, they were out of tune, flat, and very nervous. They didn't deserve anything.
Spitefulangel Why buy the cow...when you get the sex for free
naaah i thought in comparison to lots of the other acts we were pretty good! the songs quite good, and yes, ok they were nervous, but they put energy into it! certainly didn't deserve nil!
blaaaah, thank god Tatu didn't win, i would not have been happy, they're two talentless people if ever i saw em.

I quite liked the Belgian erm.. whatever it was
Well, okay the pretty girl anyway..

Well, I watched some of this at Nos on a little pocket TV. It was cool!
tATu were cool! I thought they were really good. And there was no third person singing and no cutaway to previously recorded footage (or at least I didn't see any on my 5" screen).
Jemini... hmmmmm, they weren't too bad, but they were far from great. Deserved more than nil points I think, but hey...
Austria's entry was quite cool, in a funny way!
Um, so, can someone remind me of who won, cos there was some confusion in my camp.
SamphiretteTo you I guess I'm just a clown who picks you up each time you're down
Turkey won with the may pole dancing (hang on she wasn't a pole was she )
I taped the second half for a laugh and just finished fast forwarding through the songs and the *cough* voting *cough*
There were a lot of reasonable Eurovision-type songs in there. Gone are the days when only a handful of countries (Ireland/UK/Malta etc) sing in English. Now that the majority do its much easier to enjoy the songs without laughing at the subtitles
Although I had the subtitles on for TATU and I have to say it was lyrically rubbish - also what happened to the backup singer as one of the girls was clearly terrible and I'm still struggling to figure out how they came 3rd
Anyway it's easier to say what was utter tripe than pick a winner so my bottom few would be: Russia, Poland (wtf was that and how *did* it get so many points , UK and France (:sleepy
Big surprise was Israel not getting more points for the schoolgirl theme and Greece deserved far more points for her dress alone (I want that dress )
The annoyance is *still* the political voting. Yeah sure we believe you have telephone voting in other countries (NOT!)
The only way that Eurovision will ever get around that is doing a pre-voting thing where the panel are subjected to a cd play of each entry with only a number and than vote based on the music. Still the UK would have had NIL points for that as well
Bring back Michael Ball - at least we came 2nd that year

LOL! I thought it was soooooooo funny!!! Jemini was dire. I voted for Austria! on the BBC you can watch the videos and read the lyrics etc:
Austria:LYRICS
I like most animals on this earth
But I really prefer little rabbits and bears
Soon all birds and beetles will die
But Adam's in bed with Eve busy reproducing
Rabbits live in the woods
Cats in the meadows
And cockroaches
Live under tiles
Little rabbits have short noses
And kittens soft paws
And Mother Holle likes her wool
From the african dromedary
The difference between animals such as apes and primates
Is no bigger than between noodles and pasta
But whoever wants to know more about animals should study Biology or inform himself on my homepage
Some animals have wings
And others have fins
Some live outdoors
And others in cans
Small rabbitsÂ…..
LOL!!!
