I guess what annoys me about "naughtiness" is when people don't think of the consequences. It isn't just kids, I've had adults (strangers) come up to me and make a "funny" comment, without thinking that they generally hurt me so much that I stress about them for weeks afterwards. It's the thoughtlessness that hurts, thoughtlessness of strangers particularly...
And there have been those incidents recently when kids have been "playing" by throwing blocks of concrete from off motorway bridges - people have nearly been killed. It's so difficult, because I guess it takes a while for kids to realise that things they say or do have consequences - I remember saying things to my mother that really hurt her, that I never ever thought would mean a thing, things I really regret.
I guess I sound like a right killjoy, but I think that naughty pranks like that are probably best kept to people you know, and you know how they'll react. I wonder do those waterbombing kids grow up to be the loudmouths who make "funny" comments at people in the street? n I guess we can only hope that children learn through these things how to be more thoughtful and considerate of others. Don't hold out much hope though... </late night depressive state>
