From, erm, personal experience... They don't usually follow up on these things. They need to prove that the debtor does actually live at that address, and that the items being taken belong to the debtor. They can have no legal claim to any item just because you're related to the debtor, as far as I'm aware.
These things tend to be more about barking than biting. Depending on the size of the debt I wouldn't worry too much.
