Ear Wax

Ok, so like quite oftens I seem to be waking up and find that I can barely hear outta my left ear, sometimes right, but mainly left. So this morning I got a cotton bud and put it as far as it'd go and man this totally dark yellow ear wax came out, but i'm pretty sure theres laods more. This means I need to get my ear syringed doesn'd it? Or can it eventually just go by itself? Of if I keep using the cotton bud can I eventually make it all go?

Cotton buds are a really bad idea Spike.

You shouldn't stick anything like that in your ear since you can damage your hearing.

If you have a lot of wax, you can buy eardrops that soften it and make it easier to wash it out. Otherwise, go see your GP. You can probably arrange to have your ears syringed by the nurse directly without needing a doctor's appointment first.

Another big no to cotton buds. They will push the wax further in. My youngest suffers with earwax and I have softening drops for him (can't remember the name right now 'tho).

If you can't find a katana you could try a .44 Magnum...

or you could try syringing yer own ear with a water gun. (No, don't try it with a super soaker, use one of those little thingies)

anyway, on a serious note, if yer doing anything inside your ears, be very carefull and stop if it hurts...

I would say first get some professional advice from possibly your local doctor as such a large amount of earwax can't be all that good. Like everyone else said be very careful with stuff in your ear it's better to go temporary deaf from earwax than permanently from stuff you did to your ear as it's very sensitive.

If you get your ears cleaned out properly I guess it won't be such and uphill climb to keep them clean.
