Now that's good spam
Oddest spam ever?
Received this ultra-weird piece of spam allegedly from a time traveller. It is actually quite amusing but a bit odd as it isn't obvious what the sender might be trying to sell. Unless of course, it's from a spammer who's just practicising before he really gets going... I am also rather puzzled by the fanni@looi.com address as I know damn well I have never used that address!

Now that's good spam
That's Eastern Standard Time. Not sure of the exact time difference of the top of my head but you have a few hours yet. And be my guest...
These have been kicking around for a year or so in one form or another, very cute though by the standards of junk mail. If only all the spam I get were so
A usenet post a couple of months ago to alt.guitar.tab requesting the tab for "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" by Bobby Vee.
by Ming
I am also rather puzzled by the fanni@looi.com address as I know damn well I have never used that address!
Wait a minute, are you saying someone using the email address fanni@looi.com posted on alt.guitar.tab asking about "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes"?!?
Maybe you use that address in the future and the timetraveller saw it then

If I ever start using an address like that, I deserve to have a Terminator sent to teach me the error of my ways!
The "funniest" spam i ever got claimed to be from a "Kristina Weber". And as my friends 17 year old baby sisters name is "kristina Weber" I didnt first realise it was spam, although i was a bit puzzeled why she should send me an e-mail. Especially after i opened the mail and she asked me to check out her "sexy pictures" and her live cam, as she was so horny.
Sara I can understand that, I've had *dodgy* emails over the last month from a Denise, Karen & Teresa ... its so easy to think you are getting a real email from people!
HAHA! They probably were from me. Come on Sam, you know you want to check out my webcam

I am reliably informed by someone who's done an IP lookup that this chap was in Australia. Now, the number of people I know in Australia could be counted on the fingers of one hand. And have lots of spare capacity. This just gets odder...

What the Hell?!? Why my domain?!? Need to investigate further...
I am occasionally puzzled at the shelves full of webcams at places like PC World and do wonder who buys them and what for?

You'll have to tell me how to view it then - I haven't gotten into that sort of technology yet
Me!

OK, aside from that sort of thing. That can't account for the volumes of webcams that seem to be in circulation. Can they?
Of course not, there can't possibly be *that* much porn on the net (nor *that* many pics of teresa's boobs).

Though given the number of webcams and digital cams in circulation it always amazes me the number of hot seventeen year old bi babes I chat to whose profile pics have "hustler" or "playboy" tags at the bottom
Best internet quote ever...
The vast majority of webcams sit idle on the shelf, or in the draw, next to the computer; having been a cute toy for the first week, then abandoned once their owners realised that video chat with aunt Maude in Guatemala wasn't as viable over 28.8 as they first thought.
Time Magazine, 3 July 1995
The Internet, of course, is more than just a place to find pictures of people having sex with dogs.
