I think someone needs an online journal

They're great for when something is bothering you and you get to tell the world (and peeps), then (hopefully) peeps reply. Tis cool

Ask peeps for a code, sorry i don't have one to give you Live Journal and Dead Journal seem to be the most popular with T21ers.

I have to move out of halls on the 6th (Staurday(, and the house I was hoping to move into near to the Uni (and still awaiting conformation from them that I am on the course for this year).

You say that you were hoping to move nearer the uni - but you don't say how far you'd got with hunting for accommodation.

Do you have any friends on the same course that are clubbing together and moving into accommodation this year? Is there a tutor/office you can speak to at the uni that helps with emergency accommodation in the meantime?

If I'm stating all the obvious then I apologise but your post doesn't list any specifics.

As I don't live anywhere near Newcastle I'm a bit lost for ideas - except is there anyway you can ask the halls for an extension? When is the start of the next term?

Persephone, I understand where you are coming from about suggesting a journal but there is only a small minority of the T21 community that still use it and to me a journal is something where you post weekly life-specifics (work/family/rubbish) that would fly over the top of a communities head I admire Gopher for posting and hopes he gets the drive and luck from any responses he gets here

Similar thing happened to me not long ago and I ended up on my mate's floor for a month.

It's funny because I always, rather naively thought becoming homeless was something that only happened to other people but rented accomodation can be a real nightmare.

Best of luck and you have my sympathies - something will come up though, it always does.

Go and see the people in the Accomodation Dept/Office ASAP, they *will* find you accommodation, it may not be in the best area but there is *always* something available.

All sorted though the rooms tiny. Could not get the big room, which would have been great for having people over.
