Anyone on here signed up to XBox live?

I had my first go last week, and it was quite a bizarre experience. I found it a little odd to be talking to a bunch of Americans (and a couple of French) whilst playing a team game - Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Whilst playing the game, I felt like a 'fly on the wall' tapping into their local culure, from the slang that they spoke, to the subjects they discussed.

In one game, the question 'Hey, is anyone here religious?' came up and there was some pretty amazing responses.
One guy said he was, but he didn't wan't to be. I got the impression that his whole town was deeply religious, and as a result his religion was compulsary.
Another guy justified the existence of God in a pretty neat advertisement style package, of which I was quite impressed with (sorry I can't remember what it was, but it was good).

Also, in the short time I was playing, I learned a lot of American insults (most of which were very homophobic), and some Dutch swear words!

In all honesty, I only bought XBox Live to keep in touch with a good mate of mine who never goes to the pub anymore due to having a baby. It's a bizarre way to keep in touch, but if it works then it's great.

Anyway, I started this topic to find out if anyone else is connected to XBox live, and also to find out what others think about it.
