The Playtex Moonwalk 2004

The walk is in aid of Breast Cancer and is being held on May 15th 2004 - Hyde Park London (start time midnight)

This year I've decided to do it. I'm not going do the full 26 miles but I will do the 13 mile 1/2 marathon. I also don't plan on doing it alone which is where you come in

Would anyone like to join me?

We can set up a group page where sponsers can be collected and keep track of what we've raised etc and I was hoping to use the Tangent 21 name as our group name (Stoo & Wo say yes BTW

)

I'll need to know ASAP who's up for it 'cos you have to call to register all the names. I was thinking that we should have all names in by Friday Dec 5th then I can give them a call.

Details are still a bit sketchy as of now but the website is here so go look.

I think I should mention that you have to wear a bra to do it (go see some of the great ones people made on the site) and it's not just restricted to women.

Also, I conversation I had with the fella yesterday:

Jazz: You do know how far 13 miles is don't you?
Me: Yeah. Do I look stupid?
Jazz: And you think you can walk it?
Me: I walked on Thursday night didn't I?
Jazz: How far do you think we walked on Thursday night?
Me: I dunno................ 4 miles?
Jazz: It was about a mile & half. Two at the most.
Me: *gulp*

Sounds similar to me...Gonna make my mind up within the next few days....I'm lazy, my bras are skanky but it is for charity

I just had a look at the site...they actually expect you to powerwalk at 5 miles per hour!! I remember trying to walk home 12 miles from the pub one night when really drunk and I was doing about 3 miles an hour...and I thought that was quick!!!

Right I'm reading this and its now official cos Sydney said it, I HAVE to go out and drink more often, get drunk and then walk home, it's not indulgence, it's training!!!!!!

Drinking definitely would help the training because when drunk you don't walk from A to B, more in a staggered fashion, therefore you'd be walking twice the distance

Recieved an email saying that online registration should be available either today or tomorrow. Once that's up and running we can start making more definate plans
