Oh was he the Dusty Bin 3 2 1 guy? I loved that show when I was a kid. I was going to be in Pan's People when I grew up.
Poor Bob...
Nope, as Jola says Ted Rodgers.

Bob Monkhouse has hosted over the years a few quiz shows including Family Fortunes, Wipeout, Celebrity Squares. The last thing I saw him in was an episode of Jonathan Creek. One of the very first things was the old black & white Carry on Sergeant.
Very sad that he has passed away, I would imagine he's only one of only a handful of old style english comedians left
What a shame, my lunchtimes round my nans won't be the same without him on Wipeout.
He was a cool guy, RIP

as i have grown up he has always been on the telly in one show or another or one film or another and i always liked him though i would always groan when my parents wanted to watch him (hey i was a kid gotta find something to moan about if the fridge was stocked up ) yesterday in the *cough* newspaper there was quite a few pages dedicated to him and there was one FULL page to his one liners and sharp wit that had me giggling to myself some i had known for years and a couple of new ones that really made me laugh out loud, i wanted to post them here for all but the website charges (pfft). the man has seen quite a bit of tradegy in his life and still kept smiling through it all. i will miss his jokes.
