That was also jackass btw
There was another show that featured someone pretending to leave a baby on a car roof while driving off.
Don't think that you got the whole idea with the fat vampire in Blade..... Just think about it if you are a vampire that can hardly move but still are able to consume enough to maintain this weight he must be fed is some way or another.
This means he must have minions and you can only have minions if you have some sort of power / status as vampires aren't known for their social behaviour and taking care of the weak . So what they did was torture a very powerful vampire (how feeds on the blood on innocent people!) for information and killed him afterwards thereby saving loads of people who will now not end up as future food....... Whats wrong with that?????
If you look hard enough you can see a demoralization of tv/film anywhere. Sure hits not as soft and sweet like telly was years ago but do keep in mind that our society changed too over the years. Due to everything we have seen over the years we are a bit more numbed to violance / pain etc etc than our grandparents where.
The idea is to trigger some emotion to let people feel involved. The easiest emotions to trigger are those of general unpleasance. For example if you see a skateboarder grinds down a pole falls and lands with a leg on each side of the rail this makes every guy in a half a mile radius flince. Apparently we can very easily replace ourselves into that person for some reason. This is something that producers have noticed too and they are trying to milk it for all it's worth and because it's also acceptable to show these things on TV / Film nowadays we'll see more and more of this kinda things. And they will keep pushing the limits of whats acceptable but thats nothing new as we have been doing that for ages (it's part of how societies develop)
