sereiously, i cant believe this! Bush was just finishing the war his daddy blundered and Tone was just playing along with the big boys. He does so like to be in with the "in" or "popular" crowd.

I thank my lucky stars every day that i dont have to call the UK "my country" any more. I am just SO angry at the goverments antics!

OK, so Spain was also in the war. but i understand that, they wanted Gibralter in return, it was purely political! that i get! Bush i get, oil! Blair, i dont get. or at least i dont get how we voted (not personaly) such a sycophant as our leader in? TWICE! Was no one awake?

Spanish people made it abundintly clear, on any sign board that they did not agree. No War was one of the first spanish phrases i learnt, it was everywhere!

The british also spoke up, but nothing like the spanish did. Where did the brithsh fighting spirit go?

Did you miss the million odd people protest marching in London then?

And all the little protests that went on round the country, i know my college had one. It was great.

Well I'm a pacifist, but there were 2 million of us on the streets of London, I think that counts for something.

On a side note:

Sorry but if those two (in bold) can make it on to the list I would say Bush and Blair are in good company

I know there was a march, but i didnt see one sign or advert for it nor did i see any petitions or anti war posters/grafiti.

The countryside alliance did a much better job publicising their cause.

Umm, constant news coverage for about 2 weeks, various adverts and notes in local papers and info on radio stations, and organised protest busses, resulting in around 2 million people being at the march in London..

I don't think there was a person in the country that didn't know about the anti-war protest..

I can see what you mean on this one (he hasn't done anything I can think of toward peace; then again he doesn't actually do anything that I can think of! ) but saying religion causes war brings to mind the phrase (and I can't believe I'm agreeing with the NRA here... ) "guns don't kill people, people kill people"; just people using something as an excuse to justify their own greed and prejudice (look up Tomás de Torquemada of the Spanish Inquisition), but having said that, I can agree with you in (even though I am a Christian myself) that I'm not exactly a huge fan of the Catholic Church either.

Oh, err, *ahem* babbling again, hang on... *tries moving back on topic*

George 'n' Tony getting the peace prize (or at least nominated) kinda sounds like 'aggressive negotiations': "we're going to being peace to this nation by bombing the living crap out of anyone living there until no-one has any soldiers or weapons (of you-know-what... ) to fight with anymore"! Out of morbid curiosity, who decides on the nominations for the Nobel Peace prize anyway?
