Couldn't play the video. If you don't mind, what did Rumsfeld say, in general?

Here's a transcript:
On Sunday March 14, 2004 Sec. Rumsfeld was on the CBS News program Face The Nation. He was joined by The New York Times reporter Thomas Freidman and Bob Schieffer-CBS News & Moderator of the program.
I quote, in part, from script of the program:
"SCHIEFFER: Well let me just ask you this. If they did not have these weapons of mass destruction, though, granted all of that is true, why then did they pose an immediate threat to us, to this country?"
"Sec. RUMSFELD: Well, you're the--you and a few others are the only people use the phrase 'immediate threat'. I didn't. The president didn't. And it's become kind of folklore that it's what happened. The president went...."
"SCHIEFFER: You're saying that nobody in the administration said that."
"Sec. RUMSFELD: I-I can't speak for nobody-everybody in the administration and say nobody said that."
"SCHIEFFER: Vice president didn't say that" the..."
"Sec. RUMSFELD: Not--if--if you have any citations, I'd like to see 'em."
"FRIEDMAN: We have one here. It says 'some have argued that the nu' this is you speaking--'that the nuclear threat from Iraq is not imminent, that Sadam is at least 5 to 7 yrs away from having nuclear weapons. I would not be so certain'."
"Sec. RUMSFELD: And--and..."
"FRIEDMAN: It was close to emminent."
"Sec. RUMSFELD: Well, I've--tried to be precise, and I've tried to be accurate. I'm s--suppose I've..."
"FRIEDMAN: 'No terrorist state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world and the regime of Sadam Hussein in Iraq.'"
"Sec. RUMSFELD: Mm-hmm. It-my view of-of the situation that he-he had-we-we believe, the best intelligence that we had and other countries had and that-we believed and we still do not know-we will know."
Heh heh heh... me like!
Thanks for the transcript. Very funny. I like anything that shows that arrogant SOB for the [snip] fool that he is.

Sandia, just a quick edit to cover our butts legally speaking since we don't have any proof Mr Rumsfeld, ahem, deliberately intended to mislead voters.
Thanks for the heads-up. I tend to forget about the legal implications. I've called him a lot worse--just not in print.
No problem. Unfortunately the crazeee world of UK libel law applies to T21. From what I know of it, I imagine the American variant would laugh what you said straight out of court. (Which would of course be slander, because you *said* it, but you know what I mean. Hopefully. )
