Perhaps strange, I don't find this disturbing. If there is real folklore about, it is likely to be Romania.

I don't find it a problem because the "vampire" was already dead and supposedly the chap responsible had looked for all the telltale signs that had been passed down.

If a person or a village went round trying to stake living people I'd be worried!
