GMTV had something on this morning about diet tap water

April Fools Day...
So.. its after 12pm so its all over for another year.
Did you see any good April Fools today, have you been well and truely caught out?
The prime candidate for the Guardian's top spoof story was Mandelson emerges as new frontrunner to chair BBC
and this also looks highly dodgy... if its not an April Fool then there are some very sick TV producers out there :/
Deadjournal and Livejournal have been having fun today too. I especially liked the LJSerialAdder user that has appeared on everyones' friends lists. Last time I looked that user had over 6000 comments on their only journal entry (mostly from people who didn't get the joke :rolleyes

I got caught out by one on the radio which commented on the UK getting the Euro.
Myself and one of my co-admin decided to play one on our members over at BB. Stating that I had been fired due to misuse of my position. Cue a massive slagging match on the boards with both of us apolgising at the same time to each other on MSN.
Worked like a treat and we are still carrying it on, closing it at noon US time to make it last longer

Yes I was fooled by a friend who said he was coming to my birthday party in May and said he'd booked for the 17th whereas I needed him to come on 7th! He kept saying he'd miss all the fun and how it was non-refundable and it cost £60 and he couldn't transfer it. I fell for it

I think suprnova has one today (given nature of site content maybe better not to post a link).
All the links have been changed to japanese characters under the guise of making the whole site Japanese at 5PM GMT and launching their own satellite...

i got caught out by that
i was like, oh wow! i even went into the kitchen afterwards and told my mum....that was when i realised, she kindly pointed out it was april fools....as if i didn't know!! i'd only been saying about an hour earlier, how i wasn't going to let anyone get the better of me in work!

The best one I saw was on a website I frequent, PlanetCNC. One of the oldest sections of one of the biggest gaming sites on the web. They stated that since nothing new was coming out of the series the site was dedicated to they were chganging the site to a different series by the same company, dissapointing one of the biggest communities on the web (Westwood and Command & Conquer community). The brilliance of it was how well the fake website was produced, it completely matched the way sections of the site are matched out and had the same look of proffesionality to it. Also the "OMG you April fool" message greeting you when you tried to view any article on the site was amusing. Unfortunately the sites now been restored to normnal so you can't see how well this joke was pulled off, especially seeing as how it was done by a single student. I know most of you probably wouldn't know or care about the background for this joke (except Alan of course 
) but it made me laugh.
Of course these guys have something of a reputation for spril fools, a few years back they created an entire website, complete with interviews, previews, reviews and articles on Tiberian Twilight, a computer game that has spent the past 5 years in development hell.
