Store cupboard ingredients...

I'm moving out of the parental abode on Saturday and into a place of my own and i'm starting to think about my shopping list for the first big shop of my move. The obvious things like pasta and baked beans are easy

but I'm convinced I'm going to forget the standard keep-in-the-cupboard-til-you-need-them ingredients. So far I've got:

Various Dried Herbs
Curry Powder
Chilli Powder
Worcester Sauce
Oxo Cubes
Tomato Ketchup
Mayonaise
Sugar
Coffee (Don't drink it, but I'll need it for visitors)
Garlic
Tomato Puree

So... What have I forgotten? What do you have in your cupboard/fridge that you can't live without? What does it matter if i'm gonna be living off baked beans on toast anyway?

Tea
Flour (plain and self raising)
Vinegar
Salad Dressings
Salt & Pepper

Stoo There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.

cornflour (use it for thickening sauces up)
bisto granules (for lazy gravy

A good brown sauce as well as ketchup, Hammonds Chop's Sauce is one of my favorites.

Plenty of tin stuff is always good - value ranges can taste just as good if not better than some expensive well-known stuff

Normally have a stock of:

Baked beans
Garden peas
Soups
Chopped tomatoes
New potatoes
Homepride sauces

Stocking the freezer for the first time will probably be fun

Just remember to rotate stuff and not keep piling it to the bottom

Oh and never mind the kitchen, make sure you have a supply of toilet rolls as they don't have miracle appearance qualities

Bread and milk are the most important things in my family. What about cereal?... cornflakes, weetabix?. Pasta sauces in jars are good too

Sooooooo agree. marmite rules

this isn't really food related but cleaning stuff is a must have. stock up on washing up liquid, polish, flash etc and all the necessary cloths and scrubbers.

Make sure you have cheese (that should go in the fridge) so you can have Marmite and cheese sandwiches

All this talk of Marmite makes me ill...

Gotta agree with some of the already-mentioned stuff, though... (hint: one of them rhymes with "not poodle"!
