'Buffy' DVD offer, decisions decisions

So, Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVDs season 1-6 are being flogged for 30 quid a pop over at amazon.co.uk. (This isn't just an excuse to plug our affiliates, but now I mention it, two birds and all that!)

Took the long-overdue opportunity to snap up season 5 for a bargain price, but can I justify buying Buffy season 6 for one episode and the extras ("Once More, With Feeling", what, wasn't going to say "Wrecked" was I?) or is that pushing a little too close to Comic Book Guy (minus actually owning my own business to pay for these things)?

I hate the season and I love the epp, but the stand-alone DVD is a rip-off and the season is only ten pounds more now ... see, it's almost justifiable!

So, anyone else think of some handy excuses?

So you bought series 5? And is it in the proper 'book type' packaging or the new plastic cases? That's the only thing that's been holding me back from getting them...

Oh, and I just checked Amazon and they're also selling Season 7 for the same price!!

Cool, might have to complete my collection...

Your bank-balance will be sad to hear season five came in the book packaging. And very snazzy it is too (it's actually the first time I've got it: I bought seasons two-four from Oz for various reasons).

Don't need any help deciding about season seven at least. Speech-slay-speech-slay-big hole. Think I'll pass.

Season 7 is also Â£29.99 at Amazon.

I ordered mine earlier on in the week and it arrived yesterday.

And yes, POF, it is the same book-style as Seasons 2-6.

Are there new snazzy ones coming out, or are these the same versions that are in HMV for Â£80?

I think they are getting rid of old stock - much like they did with the BOGOF offers on the vhs boxsets.

The very same. According to the guys over at thedvdforums.com, Fox are clearing out their stock online cos for some reason they're not selling for 80 quid a pop.

No complaints from me.

Fox seem to clearing out lots at the moment with the Simpsons and Futurama going cheap, here is hoping for the x files soon.

how annoyed am i that I bought season 7 at Â£55 few weeks ago

Having said that I got seasons 1-6 and 1-3 of Angel for Â£140 in total so I shouldn't complain
