Yet more techie help - please *hopeful eyes*
I move into yet another new place this week, one that apparently has some kind of wireless connection in it. Does anyone know what kind of thing I have to add to my baby puter to make it work? I have a laptop thingy, and I'm used to having ethernet cable or modem cable in it, but I don't know what I have to do to make this work. Please help me save my internet connection - otherwise I'll have to do some work! *big eyes*

Ooo, thanks... is a "PC card slot" the funny grey slit in the side of the pooter that I've been wondering about all this time?? /technophobe
Try here. Mine arrived today (I was sick of the really rubbish one I was borrowing off the library staff at uni... D-Link sucks!) and it works great! It only needs a USB port, too.
Thanks guys! Think I'll get the one Alan recommended, as it looks a lot less difficult than the other one, and I won't have the BF's help installing it (he refuses to touch my windows machine... :rolleyes
Thank you!
Thank you!
Happy to be of service.
yay! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!
The thingy Alan recommended turned up yesterday, and today I went to the new place, and it all worked! Installing, running, everything went like clockwork, and suddenly, before I knew it, my puter was logging into MSN! Joy!
Though possibly might be a bit of a distraction when it comes to doing work... but hey...

General coolness. It would be on my end too, if the wireless connection didn't keep inexplicably cutting off...
