I asked the same thing to the kids and their parents earlier (In a bit of a nicer tone of course) and they said that they would rather see people on Saturday than bother them on Sunday, because nobody wants people at their door on a Sunday. Which I saw as a fair enough reason.

Hallowe'en is the Wiccan new year isn't it? (It was definitely the start of the pagan year.)

An excuse for two new year celebrations, how cool is that?

Hannah has a little cat costume (which she looks adorable in) and her daddy carved her a pumpkin so she's pretty happy right now... 'specially as i promised her she could wear it(cat costume,not the pumpkin ) to visit her nanna and grandpa tomorrow (or later today actually) I have sweets for the trick or treaters though we get very few of them here...

Unfortunatly we just get a bunch of scrotes around here, so we don't bother with it..

Bah Humbug!

They came yesterday because Sunday's a school night and first day back to school from half term. I like Halloween, I like Autumn and it feels special. I don't practice Wicca but I do follow it.

pah we always went on the correct day otherwise where's the point? We only stayed out for a few hours between 5-7 whenever we went (ok this is well over 15 years back!! )

Otherwise you could get kids faking trick or treating for weeks (just like fireworks )

We don't get a lot of kids coming round in this generation now since most of the American service people moved out there isn't anyone with house decorated anymore (which you knew would be a welcome house)

Admittedly, I have absolutely no sweets planned as we've not had anyone knock for a few years - although I rather suspect they wouldn't get past the flat security doors now

We tend to get a lot of 14+ year olds wearing a costume of Jeans & Tshirt after money.

I hide the car now cos I once had a smashed window due to a particularly irritating "Trick or Treater"

We went trick or treating last night. The kids love it. Sam was Dracula and B was a ghost. We only knock on doors with pumpkins and decorations on view and they're always polite ('tho we did have to poke Billy for a few thank yous ) I think the older kids that go out can be a little intimidating but the little ones are always so cute
