Totally Obsessed - going too far?

I was breezing through VH1 tonight when I came across a programme called "Totally Obsessed"

It drew my eye as I was fascinated by the couple who had decorated their house in the style of the Munsters (I think they had built the house too - but I missed the beginning)

Next up was the strange 50-year old who constantly dresses as Peter Pan who should have some injunction slapped on him for wearing very short tunics in green velvet in public and still having a bowl haircut!

However, I was oddly sickened by the girl who has already binged 14,000 calories a day to become 360lbs with the "goal" of wanting to be at least 500 - 600 lbs. I mean that's heavier than some darts players!

It was distressing watching her sample some of the new $5000 collection of clothes she'd had to buy to fit her growing gut and arse. The voiceover said the bigger she got the sexier clothes she likes to wear and the more revealing they get. But the shot of the bikini was enough to make me want to vomit.

I would never voluntary want to be big - never mind *that* big!. Heck I'd kill to be 180lbs at the moment :roll:

I actually saw most of this last night and wow...

I actually liked the house belonging to the Munsters freak... it was certainly different but not offensive or weird, at least i didn't think so.

Now the Peter Pan character had me in either fits of laughter or feeling really sorry for him or just thinking that he was in severe need of therapy...

But the woman that eats to put on weight really disturbed me. Personally i think she needs some kind of psychiatric help... gaining that amount of weight could and probably will severely damage her health... i don't even want to think what her cholestrol level could be, what her blood pressure is or the strain her heart is under, the strain on her joints. She has amazing confidence in her body and good for her, but the clothing choices she modelled were just horrific. She just didn't look healthy and i think one of the more sad aspects of it was that her husband actually supported her in what she's trying to do.

I think any adult that dresses up is a bit of a freak. And yes that does include all of my friends on here

With respect, there's dressing up for an "event" and dressing up all the time as a character that's a big difference

yeeah, i of know him, if its the same one he kinda reminded me a little of ricardo from the salon...
he was certainly very....different!

no no no this was exactly what my first thought is

you dress up in the bedroom whether its just sexy and saucey or just something different to please ya man *cough*pinknightwear*cough* its no different to say dressing as a school girl...

As for the costuming. hell i dont care if people think im weird.Ive always known it!I certainly dont dress up for normal stuff, just for cons and events....
At least i know i look good in the costumes i choose lol!!!

Actually, i'd love my bird to dress as a vampire and seduce me, or as a sunnydale cheerleader, not so sure about a klingon though :-S
