I've not watched it since Nick Berry left.
Heartbeat doesn't make a lot of sense
Heartbeat, its set in the 60s right. Yet its been going on for well over 10 years now, think it started in the very early 90s. So by now surely it'd have gone into the 70s. I do see that as each week a new episode is on it could just be a days difference or somehting. Yet when you really think about it, all the things that have happened, all the people come and gone and children born and as characters have aged and died, even that'd be at least 10 years surely. So how can it still be set in the 60s?

You're probably too young to remember, but years ago there was an Aussie daytime soap called The Sullivans, in which WWII lasted for about 15 years... *nostalgia*
You're the oldest person I know (excluding my parents )

ooo I used to love the Sullivans!!!!! It wasn't on for 15 years was it? I remember me and my mum used to rush home to watch it and like at the start the family all run along getting read to have their photo taken. Wasn't the same bird who was Mrs Mangle in it too?

There used to be that semi good looking policeman hero, but I stopped watching after it became a treat to stay up on a Sunday night to watch it, lol.
Hehe, my Mum watches Heartbeat. I think they can get away with time not moving on though, remember Dawson, the oldest teenager in the world?
Dawson wasn't the oldest teenager in the world. That award went to Luke Perry in Beverly Hills 90210
