Sitting at an angle to the tv would get tiresome very quickly i think. Bit gimmicky, like Philip's peripheral colour thingumy.

One Cool TV!
Japanese manufacturer Sharp plans to release a special LCD TV later this year that displays different channels depending on the angle it's viewed at. In theory, kids watch cartoons sat on one side of the room, while parents watch something else on the other side...

Yeah, i was thinking that they'd all have to wear headphones, which isn't the most comfortable of things when you want to relax and watch the telly

Aye lets all break up the family unit even more by watching different channels simulatenously on headphones and ignore each other. Come to think of it, why even be in the same room with each other? Portables TVs are cheap enough that every member of the family can watch TV in their own room and only venture out to get a pot noodle.
