Well, we all know how 'accurate' most filtering software is, but it might be interesting to ask Vodafone if they are blocking us on purpose, and if so, why.

I just tried to visit this site on my laptop using a Vodafone mobile card and it was blocked - Vodafone's filtering software decided it was only suitable for over-18s and refused access.

Do they block all over-18 sites then? is there not some way to tell them you're over 18 so you can access them?

A bit off topic, i know, just curious...

P.S. this might have sounded a bit blonde, but i don't care

And i'm right in thinking that you have to be 18 to have a credit card, yes? But then, can't you use your parents credit card to pay it...

my works filter has also started to block T21.

.com is blocked as 'chat'
.co.uk is blocked as 'games'
(or possibly the other way around)

Only a quid!

I don't know why it was blocked, and I don't know why the content filter suddenly started working again when we'd got it disabled the moment we first discovered its existance, months ago.

I do know I got very terse with the people at Vodafone when I rang them up, and it's working again now.

I wouldn't say T21 is exactly suitable for kids. Occasionally there are swear words, and while the worst are edited out, some are left in. Despite pitching itself as a family friendly board some of the topics discussed are fairly adult in theme, and I would say that T21 should be conisdered suitable for teens, but probably not younger than that. I manage the filtering (and ten billion other things) at my work where we provide broadband to schools. I wouldn't consider T21 appropriate for primary schools.

I wouldn't consider it suitable for primary school children either regardless of the language I've heard some of them use in the same respect it would be nice if it could remain clean enough (and by that I mean innuendo that you can get around) for work-type firewalls and security filters not to pick up on

I remember seeing a automatic swear word filter on other sites where words such as "cocktail" ended up with half the word starred out because it worked on either black or white with no grey area. Yes there are adults and still the odd late teen I believe regularly posting, but it would be nice for things to be work safe as many more of us are allowed to access during break times

Random, I imagine whilst there is a lot of innuendo on the site (which is true in real life too ) that the filters must pick up on a variety of single words. Although I suspect talk of breastfeeding is probably picked up too and that's a fairly kosher maternal activity

T21 is blocked from my sixth form and local library too.
