Surprised nobody's mentioned it yet as there seemed to be plenty of anticipation here for HP5 -- perhaps a sign of a certain degree of disenchantment setting in!

Assuming that that there are other's here who've picked up a copy, what do you think?

To me it suffered from most of the problems that HP5 had, and indeed most of the series -- far longer than it needed to be, and containing numerous story elements that could have been introduced in earlier books, I'm again of the opinion that this is a trilogy stretched out into seven parts.

The two major twists in the tale were both somewhat disappointing -- one forshadowed too much, the other denied too much.

It was a fun/quick/easy read, just not a very good one.
