Yeah, i saw this the other day. I wonder what they're gonna call it, cos 2003 UB313 is a really pants name

yet again another 10th planet, and thats the 10th planet they found two years ago. They have been finding these for about 30 years since a physissist argued that an orbit woble showed another gravity force (oject) was out there. This one will probably be forgotten about just as fast as all the others and wont be changing any school text books.
Little over a decade actually, the first one was early 90s. And the people arguing that there were wobbles in Pluto's and/or Neptune's orbit that could be attributed to another planet were incorrect -- their sums were wrong.

I very much doubt that, the recent confirmation of the size of 2003 UB313 (as mentioned in the article in question) pretty much means the issue is forced -- either Pluto-Charon has to get demoted or 2003 UB313 is named a planet, the latter's more likely than the former IMO if only because (as I was reminded a couple of weeks ago) the chap who discovered Pluto was a good egg in various peoples opinions.

2003 UB313 will be made a planet, Sedna, Orcus et al will remain KBO planet-wannabes!
