I'd love to be there, mate, but I'm gonna be in Liverpool that weekend. But I'll gladly give you a cheque to go towards the treatment
Eleanors charity event 28th August
As many of you know, my niece Eleanor suffers from cerebral palsy. Shes 3 in November and any treatment that can be done needs to be done soon before she gets too old. One of our local pubs have decided to hold a charity day in order of Eleanor and to raise money for her so we can get her some treatment which may one day help her to walk. Its going to be held on Sunday 28th August which is bank holiday weekend at the Red Lion pub in Stevenage. Anyone that wants to come along is welcome to, there will be events going on all day. Its a rock pub so there will be bands playing all day from 2pm until 10.30, as well as a bbq and raffle and hopefully a bouncey castle and facepainting. It'd be great if any of you can turn up to show your support, and its only a 15 min walk fom the train station

Me and debs are deff going, Mart is at frightfest so may not be able to go, but you never know. Spike, what sort of things do you want for the raffle because we'd to get something & donate it for the raffle.
Thanx guys Anyone whos coming things kick off at 2pm but the pub is open from 12, also theres a late license so it'll go on till 11.30pm when its normally 10.30pm on Sundays. Anyone who can come and is coming by train it seems there are repairs being done on the tracks, so if you're coming from London you need to change at Welwyn Garden City for a replacement Bus Service. There are still trains every 20 minutes though. Getting to the pub from the station, take the left exit. Walk along until you see the first set of stairs on the left, then walk down them, left across the carpark until you see a little gap to the cycle track. Go right along the cycle track walking until it curves around walking under an underpass. You then see an underpass to the left and right, take the one on the right, walk under it and turn left. Walk up the slope and to the right should be a bridge. Keep walking straight although you may want to go to the right side as theres a path there, then walk under an underpass and on your right is 'The Coach and Horses', keep walking straight up the Highstreet and after a few minutes you should see 'The Red Lion' on the left hand side.
